Following the relocation of SHSU Online Operations to the University Plaza building (1 Financial Plaza, across from West Hill Mall) in June 2017, and the Finance and Administrative Support department to the same off-campus building at the beginning of 2019, SHSU Online’s Media Services department will be moving to University Plaza as well.
In 2018, SHSU Online relaunched Continuing Education. Reimagined as a provider of fully online courses and certificates, the department reopened with a new mission. Special emphasis was placed on increasing access via fully online options.
The online academic experience at SHSU is a strong example of how online learning matches the quality of traditional, face-to-face instruction.

This summer, Blackboard’s annual eLearning mecca, Blackboard World, will be held in Austin, Texas, from July 23 to July 25. For those who have not had the benefit of attending a Blackboard World, it is one of the biggest eLearning conferences of the year.
