This well-deserved recognition reflects Daniel’s strategic leadership, technical expertise, and unwavering dedication to supporting online education and student success across SHSU and the Texas State University System (TSUS).
Daniel has been a driving force behind the seamless operation of mission-critical academic technologies, ensuring that online faculty and students receive top-tier support. Under his leadership, the Learning Technologies Support team has provided 24/7 assistance, managing complex systems like Blackboard, while the Online Student Engagement unit has evolved into an essential extension of Admissions and Advising, dedicated to supporting prospective and enrolled online students.
Since joining SHSU Online, Daniel has played a pivotal role in expanding digital learning initiatives, enhancing system-wide technology integration, and leading major projects that impact over 69,000 users across five TSUS institutions. His strategic oversight in areas such as academic technology infrastructure, faculty support, and student engagement has positioned SHSU as a leader in online education innovation.
In his new role, Daniel will continue to lead and shape the future of online learning technologies and student engagement initiatives, ensuring that SHSU Online remains at the forefront of academic technology services and student-centered support strategies. His ability to bridge technology and student success will further strengthen SHSU Online’s mission to provide accessible, high-quality digital education experiences.
