Staff from SHSU Online have been named winners of the Blackboard Catalyst Award for Leading Change, which honors institutions that are on the forefront of educational innovation. The award recognizes teams that have developed and implemented high impact educational strategies that scale.
Going into this year’s event, we knew things would be a little different. Instead of gathering in-person for our 9th annual event, we came together virtually for an event like no other held before. Leveraging Cvent’s new Virtual Attendee Hub, attendees accessed #DES20 through the event website and mobile app, interacting with presenters and fellow attendees through breakout sessions and receiving answers to their questions’ through live Q&A.
Zoom allows session leaders to share whatever music they have playing on their computer (Pandora, iTunes, Spotify, Amazon) with webinar attendees.
Blackboard Community is a community of instructors, instructional designers, admins, Blackboard staff, and educational leaders who interact in one place so that everyone involved can benefit.
