On March 4, 2016, SHSU Online will hold the 5th Annual SHSU Online Teaching and Learning Conference at the Lowman Student Center, with concluding events at the James and Nancy Gaertner Performing Arts Center (GPAC). The lineup will include keynote speaker Tim Clue, a humorous, interactive, motivational speaker with a long and impressive public-speaking and educational resume.
Tim Clue will be joined by 30 other presenters at this year’s conference. Some of this year’s presenters include Page Glave and Jennifer Didier, who will be presenting “How do I Teach that Online? Overcoming Barriers to Online Course Development”; Brooklynn Wynveen, presenting “#Connect: Engaging Online Students through the Use of Social Media”; Paul Eaton, who will discuss “Rhizomatic Learning Online: Faculty and Student Perspectives”; and Erin Cassidy, who will show attendees how to “Transform Your Slides from Lecture to Dialog: Using Adobe Captivate to Integrate Lessons in Blackboard”. There is still time to register for this one-of-a-kind event which will conclude in GPAC with a closing keynote by Tim Clue, a special performance by the SHSU Department of Dance, and a reception that include wine and hors d’oeuvres.
