Prospective Students: Check out our viewbook!

ITV, or Interactive Television, is a platform that utilizes videoconference technology to enable an instructor to teach multiple classrooms at the same time. While the instructor is teaching a face-to-face class, they can seamlessly communicate with a group of students attending the course from a remote classroom. Through the use of streaming video technology and a large projection screen, the professors and students in two separate locations are able to see and communicate directly with each other in real time. The program effectively broadens the student-professor dynamic for distance learners and allows more students to have access to a higher quality course.

Currently, there are six rooms at SHSU-The Woodlands Center (TWC) and the main campus that are ITV ready. Four are in TWC and the other two are on the main campus - in the Lee Drain Building and the College for Humanities and Social Sciences.
